The number on the quote is the number on the invoice. No surprise add-ons, no padding. If we hit something unexpected mid-job, we stop and talk to you before we spend your money.
Providence Construction is a one-man-led crew working out of Bland, Virginia. Our job is to do good work for neighbors and leave your home better than we found it.
Matthew has lived in Bland, Virginia his whole life. He started working construction the summer after he graduated high school and hasn't stopped since — from framing and roofing crews in his twenties to his own remodel business today.
Providence Construction exists because around here, the people who do the work are the people who live here. You don't send somebody three hours out from Roanoke to fix a garage door. You call a neighbor. That's what Matthew is — a neighbor who happens to be good at building things.
Every job is handled personally. Matthew is the one on the phone, the one on the job site, and the one who signs off on the work when it's done.

We don't cover up problems. If the framing is rotten, we tell you. If the subfloor needs replacing, we replace it. Cosmetic fixes on broken bones are how houses end up costing you twice.

We only take work we can actually drive to. If we can't be on-site in under an hour, we're not the right people for the job. That's how we stay accountable to our neighbors.
We work roughly an hour's drive from our home base in Bland, Virginia — which covers most of the New River Valley and the closest parts of Southern West Virginia.
